I see in Fight Club the strongest and smartest men who ever lived. I see all this potential and I see it squandered. Goddamnit an entire generation! Pumping gas and waiting tables, the slaves with white collars. Advertising has its taste in cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don't need. We're the middle-children of history, man. No purpose or place; we have no great war, no great depression. Our great war is a spiritual war - our great depression is our lives. We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires and movie gods and rock stars, but we won't. We're slowly learning that fact, and we're very, very pissed off.

Which Jedi Knight are you? go to:the quiz!

You are the deceptively spritely Master Yoda. Your past is mysterious and you like bran. Though you walk with a cane, everybody fears your ability to deftly manipulate your lightsaber. Everybody thinks you're alright, but secretly people want to throttle you for your poor english. If you can manipulate other peoples' minds, why can't you teach yourself to speak?

Well I'm just full of nifty quizes aren't I??

Which Soviet Leader are you? go to:the quiz!

You're Vladimir Lenin. You were loyal to your Bolshevik politics, and when the opportunity presented itself, you were capable of taking over an empire.

I really am becoming a Godless Communist! AHHHH! Well at least I can take over an empire...scary huh?

Is it just me, or has this been the best Christmas break ever? It's like everything I've wanted or wished to happen has in a period of 6 days...kinda strange. To start, I convinced my parents we shouldn't go to Arizona with boring relatives, so I only had to live through a 5 minute phone call and got to stay here. To top that off I met the most amazing and perfect person ever (more on that later). My family is even getting along this Christmas...no big fights or outbursts...even with Kerry home! And I got to see Lord of the Rings, twice, man what a great movie. Despite some mean people running off to Flordia *glares* this whole break has just been, well perfect. Ah, I'm actually in the Christmas spirit for once...

"Heaven can wait
And a band of angels wrapped up in my heart
Will take me through the lonely night
Through the cold of the day
And I know
I know
Heaven can wait
And all the gods come down here just to sing for me
And the melody's gonna make me fly
Without pain
Without fear
Give me all of your dreams
And let me go along on your way
Give me all of your prayers to sing
And i'll turn the night into the skylight of day
I got a taste of paradise
I'm never gonna let it slip away
I got a taste of paradise
It's all I really need to make me stay --
Just like a child again

Heaven can wait
And all I got is time until the end of time
I won't look back
I won't look back
Let the altars shine

And I know that I've been released
But I don't know to where
And nobody's gonna tell me know
And I don't really care
No no no
I got a taste of paradise
That's all i really need to make me stay
I got a taste of paradise
If I had it any sooner you know
You know I never would have run away from my home

Heaven can wait
And all I got is time until the end of time
I won't look back
I won't look back
Let the altars shine

Heaven can wait
Heaven can wait
I won't look back
I won't look back
Let the altars shine
Let the altars shine"
-Meat Loaf

I'm bored, and I don't understand how. I have so much to do it isn't even funny - but I'm constantly bored. Maybe it's because nothing I am doing currently interest me. I feel like whatever was driving me to simple get up and do stuff is gone and now I'm just bored with everything. Maybe it's because I haven't been able to talk to some people I normally talk to everyday because of us both being busy. It's weird though, being so busy has made me sooo bored with everything.

I want to go to Webb so bad. On Thursday I left to go up and spend the day at Webb. Just so you get an idea, Webb is build on an old industrialist mansion. Think Wayne Manor in Batman, that's Webb. So it's beautiful, and it's right on the Long Island Sound. I mean right on it, the back porch ends in the water. When I was there there was 11 inches of snow! 11 inches!!!! I love snow. Then once I went into the school it was amazing. Considering the fact that there are only 80 people at the school, my visit was big news. All the kids knew everyone so they were all trying to find out who I was. Before I had even started the tour I was being dragged around by 3 seniors to show me their rooms and the pub. Everyone was so nice and friendly there, and they were trying to convince it was the best school ever. (Mainly because I'm a girl and they are very lacking in girls there, at most 2 girls per year). Well they did a real good job. The girls dorms are awesome, they are huge almost the size of my bedroom at home and they are singles. Plus the girls have a common room that is HUGE and it has a big screen TV and stuff. The coolest thing was that everyone knows everyone else. Once my tour actually got started the director of student affairs was taking me around and he knew every person there and were everyone slept. On our way through the huge mansion and surrounding buildings I meet the president and his wife and children, and the dean and his wife. It was so weird because it was the most casual thing. I even helped put up the presidents Christmas tree because all the students were in class at the time so he had no one to help him. That's why the atmosphere was great but the school academically was even better. I sat in the freshman physics class and I remembered why I used to love physics. It was the most interesting thing at it had a purpose too (building ships of course). I even understood a good amount of it, but then again it was the freshman class. Then I went into a philosophy lecture with the juniors and seniors (so like 30 people). You'd think their philosophy class would suck since it's a naval engineering school but it was awesome. This was no simply philosophy class, they were discussing Neicheiz (I know I destroyed the spelling) and Habermas. And even though it was a lecture it was much more a discussion between students and the teacher. After those classes I remembered that I used to like to learn. Plus they have this Winter Work Program where for 2 months of the school year you go off to work in the shipping industry. And you get paid. It's so cool because sophomore year you get to travel on the ships that go through places like the Bahamas or the Mediterranean. Combine that with the fact that there is no tuition, it's the best engineering school in the nation, and that they have a 100% job acceptance rate I am dying to go there. Now I just hope I get in. Please, please, please accept me!!!
